“Rare France” has a somewhat misleading title: it includes some lesser-known tracks, but also features iconic artists like Bourvil and Nino Ferrer. It’s this mix that I love. We journey through the 70s and early 80s, with the French language as the common thread. One could certainly say that the word “rare” here refers more to the affection I have for these tracks rather than their rarity in the collector’s sense!
