This month’s episode features a guest mix from Salon’s London-based artist, Image Sound, in support of his upcoming EP release on April 3rd.

Finding inspiration in the smoky blues and neon reds that light the night landscapes of London and Los Angeles, colors is the latest single from UK producer and sound designer IMAGE. The two-track project from Salon Recordings is the
label’s first European release and captures the emotion and energy of the two cities that shaped its creation.

Through tracks “colours” and “ghost” Image builds an atmosphere that pulls back the glossy veneers of the cities they are inspired by. Each track taps into the underground emotion of late night drives under streetlamps and the quiet introspection of movement from one place to another. The result is tracks that are built for the afters. Deep kicks accented by muted basslines with synth keys and muffled samples that highlight the inherent moodiness of the project.
