We where invited to select music during the third edition of Salvation Camp. A pop up store for local designers, this year featuring Andrea Viêntëc, Andròmina Magazine, Après Ski, Come como yo, Deux Souliers, Iamsoto, Matagalán Plantae, Ölend, Pale Swimwear, Paloma Wool, Perdiz Magazine and Satan’s Coffee Corner.
Also, our friend Andy Tornado (aka Andreu Cunill) showed up. Andreu, apart from collecting records, djing here and there, being member of The Freewhelin’ Tornados and Santos, is a music journalist who recently published a really interesting book about the golden ear of soul, Espíritus en la oscuridad. Viaje a la era soul. A coast to coast trip which includes a prologue by Swamp Dogg.
Stooge started our set with some jamaican nuggets, funky tunes and afrobeat goodies.
Andy Tornado played a bunch of upbeat soul, salsa, tropicalia and boogaloo songs.
Papa Rock slowed down the engines with some country and AOR gems.
And finally, Cosmic D’Alessandro closed the evening with some coast vibes full of soft rock and groovy tenderness.
