A Noiseful Joy
08.05.14

A Noiseful Joy is a weekly live show on dublab hosted by Jake Viator, every Tuesday from 10a-12p Pacific Standard Time. An electic survey of the wild wide world of sound, each episode explores Avant-Garde, Electronic and Freaked-Out audio and video vibrations from the 1960s and beyond. Tune-in each week for experimental fun!
This episode was hosted by Sam Wolk, a long time dublab intern who is here for this summer thanks to the LA County Arts Commission. Sam records modular synthesis and Max/MSP sounds under the name Delta-6400. Check out more of his work here. For this edition of A Noiseful Joy, he beams all analog sounds to your ears – the continuous signal flow carries you through inner zones and back out again! Headphones recommended!
If this is up your alley, be sure to come out to Tonalism, an all-night ambient happening produced by dublab at Sonos Studios, coming up Saturday, August 16th. Sam will be performing as well as doing live sound spatialization and diffusion in the 13-channel surround speaker system designed specially for Tonalism.
