The Archive of Feelings
02.07.26

As an archivist / librarian, T-Kay brings an eye and ear for the historical, unique, and transnational to her musical curation. The Archive of Feelings is a celebration of sounds and struggles of everyday life across linguistic and geographic boundaries gathered through serendipitous findings from around the world. T-Kay joined the dublab family as an intern in 2006 and hosted her first show “The Afternoon Love-In” in early 2007. Prior to dublab, T-Kay hosted “Hooray for Everything!” from 2001-2005 on KSPC Radio (Claremont, CA) and “Hip Hop Hooray” from 2009-2015 on KOOP Radio (Austin, TX).
T-Kay welcomes Grammy Award winning violinist and artist Tylana Renga Enomoto to The Archive of Feelings for a conversation about her life in music, her influences and how Los Angeles has shaped her sound.
Bio
Tylana Renga Enomoto is an LA based Grammy Award winning musician and artist. With creative influences that range from J.S. Bach to J Dilla, Nina Simone to Kazuo Ohno, and Amara Toure to Bjork, most will find it difficult to confine her work to a specific genre. Celebrating nearly 30 years of experience as a violinist, composer, arranger and vocalist in the field, Tylana continues to approach her craft from a beginner mindset, rooted in a deep desire to explore and appreciate the human condition through art. Over the years she’s had the honor of working with artists including Kamasi Washington, Kendrick Lamar, Arthur Verocai, Ariana Grande, Lupe Fiasco, FKA Twigs, Ana Tijoux, David Hidalgo, Vardan Ovsepian, Sly5thAve, Adrian Younge, Mocky, The Sa-Ra Creative Partners, Knower, Ethiocali, Bonobo, Mark de Clive-Lowe, and Quetzal.
