On this special episode of his weekly “Celsius Drop” program, Frosty welcomed animator and musician Devin Flynn into the dublab studio for a guest selector session. He treated us to a finely shredded session that shot like a laser beam straight to the inner core of our psyche. With each new platter tossed on the decks our ears were melted further and eyes opened wider. All of the tunes Devin shared were rooted in personal love and no matter how wildly obscure full of soul and rhythm. We’re hoping this is the first of many DJ sessions by Devin Flynn on dublab. A native of Los Angeles, Devin moved to NY in the late 80’s and now has returned to LA after 25 years. Flynn is most well known for his animated web-series Y’all So Stupid. He is also currently in a band with Gary Panter & Ross Goldstein called Devin Gary & Ross. They have recently released a 2LP entitled Honeycomb Of Chakras. Listen to some samples here.

Devin has also just completed a solo project, which is a soundtrack for a Lightshow exhibition by none other than Joshua White (Joshua Lightshow) in collaboration with renowned artist and underground cartoonist Gary Panter. It has recently been released on vinyl and is available here.
