We have had the great pleasure of visiting our friends from Red Bull Music Academy as they have hopped around the world activating sonic exploration outposts. dublab has broadcast live from the London, Madrid, New York City and now Tokyo editions of Red Bull Music Academy. RBMA Radio’s Tokyo studio is especially beautiful with a view of the city’s epic skyline. From this perch we launched our adventure with two deeply in-tune Japanese music minds, DJ Shhhhh and Hara Masaaki, as our guides. dublab.jp’s Yukiko Takiguchi was also along for the ride to help us navigate the landscape.

DJ Shhhhh is a member of the extended Boredoms family and came to our attention through regular Japan traveler Butchy Fuego. We have been totally awestruck by his world of rhythmic diversity and cosmic wave transmission. Here he brings us a prismatic explosion of international sounds.

Hara Masaaki has graced our world with forward thinking music via his label disques-corde for years, releasing albums from the dublab family and creative Japanese community.
