Raised on used CD bins and mislabeled MP3s, Joe Rihn brings influences from across the musical underground to the jungle-influenced sound he makes as Motorist. After joining dublab as a volunteer, he launched the show “Audio Days” in 2017, which is now called “Continuum.” In addition to producing, DJing and organizing events, the Los Angeles artist has toured the country with punk bands and written about music for outlets including LA Record, Resident Advisor and Beatportal. The latest Motorist record, “Exhibition of Speed,” was released in 2024 on the UK label Time Is Now.
