Sophie Fan is an artist, sonic researcher, radio DJ, and lover of the sea. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, she is currently based in Los Angeles while pursuing her B.A. in Art at UCLA. Her belief that sound is a sculpture positions her work at the intersection of art, music, and science. Through sound sculpture instruments, performance, and audiovisual installation, her work seeks to explore sound as a physical yet intangible material to be translated into visible and communal languages.
