Gemini is all about duality: art & intellect, go & stay, work & play. Fiercely intelligent, Gemini is the first to figure things out. It’s also the first to let you know. Gemini humor is unmatched and its passion is unfiltered. Its adaptability and mutability is perhaps its greatest strength, but lord have mercy do not let it get bored.

We all know Gemini loves a party, so we’re excited to host our first full team event in Los Angeles! We are Ascendance, a New Orleans and Los Angeles based collective who host Black and queer centering events excited to parter with CASUAL and Cuties LA to bring your warm up for Pride Month, Ascendance Presents Gemini Season, a zodiac themed dance party and community driven experience.

Our events combine the music, fashion, spirituality, and culture from around the diaspora to invoke togetherness, community, and celebration.

This May 30th event celebrating Gemini suns, moons, risings, and all planetary placements will feature Hip Hop, R&B, Trap, House, Ballroom and Club music played by our house DJs: baby.com, paigedotno, & DJ Chinua; CASUAL residents BODII & Terrell Brooke; and our headliner the dancing doll herself AMARJI KING!

The venue, Apartment 503, is a beautiful rooftop indoor/outdoor space located in Koreatown with two bars, a kitchen, and an underground parking garage (with validation) We are a 21+ consent only space, no racism, sexism, homophobia, or transphobia allowed and we invite all who love Black people, queer people, and our cultures to celebrate with us!
