“For the past 10 years or so, I’ve been adding music videos to my DJ sets. But I’ve been wanting for a while now to play videos in a seated theater instead of a dance floor. So I approached Frosty, Morpho and Alex about “guest curating” their Labrat Matinee series. I enjoyed going to the Labrat Matinees because Dublab has always had their eyes and ears on what’s next. I’d go to them to learn about video directors, music artists, and to just enjoy the show. I even learned about comedian Kyle Mooney from them (who’s now enjoying success as a cast member on SNL).

My version of A Labrat Matinee on Saturday, June 20th is a little more guerrilla style. The past ones showcased newer videos by people that Dublab has a personal relationship with, whereas mine is more “anything goes” out of my personal collection and mostly older clips. And they’ll be pulled from VHS, DVD, laserdisc, U-Matic tapes, and even youtube.” – Peanut Butter Wolf
