I typically spend my days dressed in rags and newspapers but today music helped me have a fashion breakthrough. I watched this film from an Yves Saint-Laurent conceptual fashion show from 1971 and now i feel like a fashionable, thoroughly modern man. How could I not when the music these clothes are accompanied by is from none other than Jean Claude-Vannier? He makes ominous sound so sexy! This legendary (at least in our circles) French composer/arranger/musician is most well know for his work with Serge Gainsbourg on Histoire de Melody Nelson and his own amazing album L’enfant Sssassin des Mouches but here he fills fabric with mysterious funk.
