Our dear friend, the illuminated soul Linda Perhacs, has given the world another gift of music. She has released her first album since the groundbreaking Parallelograms 44 years ago. In 2009 dublab was honored to work alongside our friend Jessica Hundley to present Linda’s first ever public performance at REDCAT. Through this concert experience, Linda encountered dublab’s creative community. She embraced these musicians, filmmakers and dancers as warmly as they had embraced her classic album. This artistic connection sowed seeds which led to the recording of her gorgeous, new album The Soul of All Natural Things which was released yesterday on Asthmatic Kitty.

The song, “Prisms of Glass,” is a collaborative work with Julia Holter and Ramona Gonzalez (Nite Jewel). The shimmering spectrum of voices glows as it unfolds. Jessica Hundley’s video accompaniment is a soft focus reflection of the composition. Alongside her new community, Linda’s light continues to shine brighter than ever.
