This mix focuses on the first five years of Michael Jackson’s career, spanning the years 1969 to 1974, when he was between the ages of 10 and 15. My obsession with The Jackson 5 started about 2 years ago. I bought the album Third Album when I worked at Fingerprints, wanting to listen to “I’ll Be There,” which was a childhood favorite. Side A ended with the song “Can I See You in the Morning,” which I fell in love with and listened to over and over again. I went on to buy more of their albums to find more of these little treasures. So, here are a bunch of them for you, all album cuts and no hits, save for the last one, Got to Be There which was my jam when I was a youngster. Hope you enjoy it.
