This week sees the completion of a circle that started outside the Rootdown club in 2000. Back then at being first told about the proposed trip to Brasil Madlib responded “One of my favorite groups is from there, Azymuth“. Now eight years later and a movie, several tours, an amazing collaboration album “Jackson Conti” and we’ve finally got Azymuth coming to Los Angeles. Mamao’s group will lift the roof on the EchoPlex on Saturday August 16th. They haven’t been in the US in twenty years. This is an exclusive date and they return to Brasil two days later.
