Pretty Gay Friendly w/ DANNY G LUVS U – Let's Be Friends
Monday April 13, 2026
11:00 PM to 01:00 AM

Let’s Be Friends celebrates the people who shape the dance music community. Each month, Pretty Gay Friendly brings a mix of music and conversation, highlighting DJs, promoters, and organizers who create spaces for connection and belonging.
The show focuses on sharing stories, building friendships, and recognising the people who make the dancefloor feel like home. Guided by the same warmth and floor-driven sensibility that defines his DJ sets, the aim is to foster inclusion, connection, and the joy of bringing people together.
This month on Let’s Be Friends, I’m joined by DANNY G LUVS U, a DJ whose energy behind the decks is rooted in feeling, connection, and intention. Her sets are driven by a desire to bring people together through music and create moments that stay with you beyond the dancefloor. I’m excited to spend some time talking about her journey, her influences, and the role love plays in the way she approaches sound and community.
A rising star in the underground scene, DANNY G LUVS U has made her mark by executing dynamic sets all around Southern California. She is known for energetic yet euphoric sounds that take you on a journey to the heart. Her goal in every set is to give the sensation of love to the crowd. She believes “LUV” is the most powerful energy that can overcome any negativity which is why she wants to make sure that the audience knows they are loved, hence her name “DANNY G LUVS U.”
Born in Huancayo, Peru and raised in Southern California, Danny has always been ingrained in culture. Growing up, her parents played variations of music from Rock en Español to Disco, which opened her mind and ears to different sounds. At the early age of 9 years old, she discovered a sound called Techno by scrolling through YouTube. That is when the music-digging began for her and it has not ended since then. She is skilled in playing multiple genres ranging from House, Garage, Minimal Tech House, Trance, Hard House, Progressive House, and Acid– just to name a few. She curates her sets depending on the event to keep the audience.
