45 Live is a collective of DJs from across Europe and the USA who have come together to indulge in and celebrate their love of the mighty 45rpm 7″ single. Hailing from all corners of popular and niche music scenes, the love of the 45 is what drew them all together. Created by UK based DJs Boca 45 and Pete Isaac, 45 Live is fast growing into a record label, festival circuit and events brand, and regular club night session
Summer is here and we’re keepin’ it live on the West Coast as we invite LA’s favorite doulful son to the turntables once again. In anticipation of the longest running funk club re-opening its doors post-lockdown, we’re celebrating Funky Sole style with its creator;
MUSIC MAN MILES
Music Man Miles (aka Miles Tackett) is a Los Angeles native & in addition to being the man behind the Breakestra, he also is an all-vinyl DJ covering sixties to late seventies funk, soul-jazz, & vintage world rhythm sounds. He’s responsible for the legendary Funky Sole session where he’s been resident from the get go, inviting carefully selected guests from around the globe, as each week, they take the crowd ‘Sole Travelein’.
Your host Greg Belson bookends the set with his well stacked racks of quality business, heavying up the funk and modern soul session with the OG 45’s..
