45 Live Radio Show
09.01.23

Greg Belson, a highly respected, LA-based DJ on the rare soul/funk scene, hosts the monthly dublab show 45 Live. It’s about the love of music, the love of vinyl and having an excellent old time of it. Whatever you do, keep it 45.
45 Live is a collective of DJs from across Europe and the USA who have come together to indulge in and celebrate their love of the mighty 45rpm 7″ single. Hailing from all corners of popular and niche music scenes, the love of the 45 is what drew them all together. Created by UK based DJs Boca 45 and Pete Isaac, 45 Live is fast growing into a record label, festival circuit and events brand, and regular club night session.

As we lean into the first show for this September, we’re heading to the West Country & Bristol UK, warming up the streets of Bristol, with one of its favorite musical sons;
DJ ANDY SMITH
Andy Smith was the first DJ to release a multi-genre mix album on a major label. His seminal mix-CD The Document hit the streets back in 1998 and became the soundtrack for a generation who’d heard Coldcut’s Journeys By DJs but needed to hear more – The Document filled the void.
His Northern Soul sessions have become stuff of legend, & for this 45 Live broadcast, he’s raiding his own supply, plundering the crates that made that makes then essential for the dancers.
He travels the world bringing his sound to those all around, and now he’s slangin’ the rarities here just for you.
Your host Greg Belson bookends the set with his well stacked racks of quality business & this week….he’s joining in the fun with some deep excavated modern soul, funk fueled disco et cetera.
This is 45 Live!
