How can certain compositions contain within their duration an ever-unfolding sonic landscape which evokes and mirrors phenomena, relationships, and natural occurrences that appear in the environments within and around us? What does it feel like to listen to a piece which hits a level of resonance with the moss, fungi, and forests alongside our own emotional and bodily processes? This episode of storage container highlights compositions which through the intuitive and intentional layering of sound both reflects and contributes to our surrounding / internal environments. Are the sonic creations we create separate from the ecosystems we are a part of or are they simply a part of us integrating, processing, and working to understand both the micro and macrocosms we exist as / within?
