Casimir ‘Cas’ Spencer hosts Dublab’s Film and TV Music Review show, Studio Soundtracks, every 1st Tuesday of the month from 11 am – Noon, where she interviews renown composers and musicians from all over the globe who score major film features and television shows.
Cas is a 15-year entertainment and government affairs public relations veteran who has made a name for herself as a top notch publicist, guest speaker, columnist, and radio host. A Los Angeles native, the 36-year-old quick-witted comms pro, is currently a film music publicist at Hollywood Entertainment P.R. firm White Bear PR, and resides in the Pasadena area with her family and poodles: Reven, Bandit, and Never.
This month she was joined by John Andrew Grush, and Taylor Newton Stewart
John Andrew Grush (Andy) & Taylor Newton Stewart are collectively known as The Newton Brothers. The Newton Brothers are notable composers, producers, conductors, and multi-instrumentalists best known for their scores in the pyshco-horror thriller genre in motion pictures such as: Oculus, Gerald’s Game, The Bye Bye Man, Ouija: Origin of Evil and most recently, Netflix’s Extinction, The Haunting of Hill House, and Hulu’s Into the Dark.
Andy and Taylor have been scoring films together for over 10 years, catching their big break scoring Tony Kaye’s acclaimed drama, Detachment, which starred and was produced by Academy award-winner Adrien Brody.
Recently, the duo scored Netflix’s new science fiction thriller, Extinction. In addition to scoring the film, they also wrote the end title song, Don’t Wake Me Up featuring popstar JoJo. Their latest collaborations include Mike Flanagan and Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin TV and Paramount TV; and Blumhouse and Hulu’s Into the Dark. Upcoming projects include the horror film Mary and the crime drama The Knife Thrower.
