Spykidelic (Tony F. Wilson) is a South London born recording artist and DJ of Jamaican descent, whose first release A Harsh Truth (Zurich) was in collaboration with Neil Halstead of Slowdive. It was followed up by Sniper as The Occupiers together with Joe Gray (aka Luger). Thereafter he recorded as Echo Park with Jon Tye and frequently with Mean Girls soundtrack alumni Anjali (of Voodoo Queens). A subsequent fem-pop collaboration with Joe Gray and girl duo Faux Fur was used as the intro song to the Pop TV series Hollywood Darlings (2017 – 2018)
He was a regular at ATP Festivals and in 2002 the sole DJ at UCLA’s Ackerman Grand Ballroom for the duration of the Sonic Youth curated LATP, playing sets between Aphex Twin, Madlib, Peaches, and Stereolab to name a few.
Since relocating to Oslo in 2007, Wilson has worked with Ted Parsons (Swans and Teledubgnosis) in Necessary; Salvador Sanchez in Mud People and established the notorious Metal x Bass Music club concept Dausteg with Are Mokkelbost. In 2023, his Ragga vocals featured on Human Inferno LP, To Piss Warm & Drink Cold, described by Matt Korvette of Pissed Jeans as sounding akin to Nazamba fronting Dark Throne or Flowdan going full Gollum.
Carefully crafted Long-form Spykidelic mixes have appeared on NOODS, The Quietus, Resonance FM, Refuge Worldwide, and Radio Alhara. Currently he is resident selector at Oslo steam kitchen / listening space Sorte Gryte.
