Every Monday from 6 to 8, the Manifest Destiny Show was on the airwaves, spinning classic 90s hip hop from the Slim Shady days to Tribe’s “The Love Movement” Era. On this installment, DJ T. Lee is on the decks and Black Shakespeare is the emcee. Both are LA-based, well-known DJs and musicians in the area and abroad. Black Shakespeare in particular ran Chocolate Bar, a weekly nightclub / art & performance space that had an array of visual and musical artists, as well as hip hop, reggae, soul DJs.
