Tangled is an expansion on the chapbook started by Patrick Shiroishi, aiming to explore Asian American musicians in the experimental and avant-garde scene.
On this month’s episode, Patrick is joined by special guest Topu Lyo.
Topu Lyo is a Los Angeles based multi-disciplinary electronic and acoustic experimental composer and cellist. His duo Live Footage has composed the music for Netflix’s 3 part documentary, Jeen-Yuhs, Hulu’s 4 part documentary Life After Baywatch as well as commercial work for HBO, BMW, VICE plus many others. He held a 13 year residency at NYC’s Apotheke in Chinatown, and produces and explores experimental electronic music.
