Adam Halliwell is a Naarm/Melbourne-based musician and member of the acclaimed group Mildlife. His latest project, Gruppo AdRa – a studio fusion duo with drummer Rama Parwata – explores the outer edges of jazz, rhythm, and improvisation. Their self-titled debut, out now on Preference Records, blends freeform experimentation with deep groove, drawing from shared influences ranging from Herbie Hancock to Peter Brötzmann.
