On this month’s episode of Dream Fantasy Nightmare, the crew is joined by special guest Kamau Daáood.

Kamau Daáood is a legendary poet and artist from Los Angeles, a founding figure in the city’s Black creative scene. A longtime member of the Pan Afrikan Peoples Arkestra and a participant in the Watts Writers Workshop, Kamau also co-founded the iconic World Stage with drummer Billy Higgins—a cornerstone of the Leimert Park arts community for decades. He joins us to reflect on his deep history with the Arkestra and to discuss Live at Widney High, a previously unreleased 1971 recording—recently issued by The Village—in which Kamau himself performed.
