Hailing from the South Pacific isles of New Zealand, Jess Fu brings a whole new perspective to the concept of world music. Before moving to Los Angeles, Jess hosted the new-music-show on New Zealand’s biggest independent radio station, 95bFM. She also worked as a music journalist for publications such as Under the Radar and NOISEY. Jess uses her Pacific cultural perspective and journalistic research skills to find the grooviest UNCUT GEMS from all corners of the globe.
Jess takes a trip back to the 20th century and does a deep dive into the submerged sounds of the Asia Pacific. Showcasing folk, rock and pop songs from Hawaii, the Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, New Zealand, Korea, Japan, China and more.
