There’s nothing quite like a drive into the mystic desert. From the Mojave to Joshua Tree, this vast expanse is as inspiring as it is unforgiving. Yet, we often take for granted those who dedicate their lives to protecting these landscapes and keeping them open to all. Over a thousand national park service members have been needlessly terminated, threatening the very existence of our national parks. In honor both the guardians of these lands and the wonder of the desert itself, let’s take a drive into the abyss—welcome to a desert daze.
