Tangled is an expansion on the chapbook started by Patrick Shiroishi, aiming to explore Asian American musicians in the experimental and avant-garde scene.
This month’s episode is a tribute to the late, great master Sonny Rollins who passed away last month.
Sonny was the first saxophone player I discovered on my own, his playing & ideas really impacted me. I had the privilege of hearing him perform live twice & I have thought about those concerts a lot. RIP to a great one.
